All training and accreditation has been undertaken through the Building Research Establishment (BRE) who are the forerunners in energy assessment having been instrumental in setting the standards adopted by Government to which the industry now operates. 
Haven Consulting are also memebrs of the Association of Commercial Energy Assessors (ACEA) which is a not for profit organistion, dedicated to providing clients with an efficient and reliable energy assessment delivery process, backed up by sound knowledge and advice; with an ethos aimed at supporting the reduction of carbon emissions in the most practical and effective way possible. At Haven Consulting there is over 20 years experience in Commercial Building Services and membership of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE). Therefore, a professional service can be guaranteed at all times as can an entirely accurate assessment of your buildings energy performance.
EPC’s and DEC’s can only be produced by accredited assessors in line with national occupational standards as set out by the Government. The purpose of an EPC is to record the energy efficiency of a building and the purpose of a DEC is to record the energy usage of a building. Both certificates provide a rating of the energy efficiency and CO2 emissions from A to G, where an A rating is very efficient and G being very inefficient.
